Sometimes software developers are absolutely nuts. Why in the world does Acrobat Reader for MacOS take over half a Gigabyte? There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for such bloat. In contrast, all I wanted was to validate a digital signature, so I used instead the Linux command pdfsig. The binary (ok, doesn't include all the libs) takes only 47,1Kb. Massively different proportions.

Home-banking sites that use a virtual keypad and prevent copy-paste are idiotic for 2 reasons:

• They require me to actually see the password I have stored in my password manager. This means I will not access the site from outside a safe space, like my actual home.

• Even if I known the password, anyone looking at the screen will see me actually click each and every character.

I need two major productivity boosters while coding:

• Coffee (the old adage is that a developer is a machine that transforms caffeine into code).

• Quality music. Right now I am listening Max Richter's compositions over and over. The addiction started with his re-composition of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, but it has now spread to his extended repertoire.

To some degree, I owe my career as a developer to the great musicians.

A política tem momentos interessantes. Joaquim Miranda Sarmento usa o caso Tutti Frutti, onde o PSD também está envolvido, para atacar o PS. A diferença entre um partido e outro é a de que num caso está envolvido um deputado, no outro um ministro. É a troca de um peão por um bispo.

O maior engano em Portugal é a associação entre a esquerda e a liberdade. Não, uma coisa não implica a outra. Destaco 2 criterios que indicam se temos ou não liberdade e democracia. 1. A separação de poderes. O regular funcionamento das instituições.
2. A liberdade de imprensa.

Sempre que o PS sobe ao poder, começa a corroer ambas. Andamos todos distraídos com o Chega e no entanto o Chega só conseguiria ser pior que o que temos com o PS se um dia nomeasse um PM. O PS é a urgencia de hoje.
